Bench Building Day!

  • Eugene V. Debs Hall 483 Peckham Street Buffalo, NY, 14206 United States (map)

Strong Towns Buffalo is hosting a community build day to make simple, sturdy benches that we'll place around the city where they're needed most. This is hands-on work: cutting, sanding, drilling. You don't need experience and you don't need to bring anything! We'll teach you what you need to know in about ten minutes.

What to expect:

  • Build stations for every skill level

  • All tools and materials provided

  • Snacks and drinks on us

  • Rolling drop-in format: come when you can, leave when you need to

What to wear: Closed-toe shoes and clothes you don't mind getting sawdust on.

Who this is for: Anyone. Bring a friend, bring your kid, bring a neighbor who's been complaining about the same empty corner for years.

Why benches?

Because the smallest interventions often matter most. A bench is a quiet promise that a place is for people. Strong cities get built from a thousand small detail that just require neighbors who show up.
